U15s lose Semi Final at Medway
By Julian Hedgcock
A tough physical battle against Medway this morning saw Sidcup come off second best, Sidcup played with a strong wind behind them in the first half, but they could not break down the Medway defence, Sidcup lost their no8 to injury midway through the first half however they took a 3-0 lead into the half time break with Medway down to 14 players through a yellow card offence. The second half continued with the same intensity and physicality as the first, Sidcup lost both lock forwards early in the second half to injury and although the boys held their heads high and battled hard for the remainder of the game they conceded five try’s, as the loss of such key players told. The Medway coach said how he admired how the boys played to the final whistle and didn’t let their heads drop...You can’t ask for anymore than that!
