Under 15 v Old Colfes match report

Sidcup kick off and immediately pressure Colfes putting in some good hard tackles and utilising a rush defence forcing Colfes to clear their lines and kick to touch. Sidcup win clean lineout ball and maul into Colfes territory, after multiple phases and good retention work inside centre Ben Hart opens the scoring jinking between tackles 0 -5. Sidcup very quickly score again huge pressure at the 1st scrum sent Colfes backwards the back row were up very quickly forcing a fumble, winger Alex is quickest to react cleanly picking up and diving over in the cornerCallum converts 0 -12. Sidcup continue to dominate and win a penalty just inside OCs 22. A training ground forwards penalty move confuses the defence and sees lock Arby smash over the line Callum converts 0 -19. It was at this point Sidcup decided the contest was over and switched off, again a good line out throw and catch combination from James and Spencer secured clean ball, a loose sliced kick went straight down the full backs neck who returned the ball with interest an excellent tackle from Arby prevented a certain try but with Sidcup misaligned Colfes passed the ball to their winger who scored in the corner, the first period finishing 5-19.

Changes made Sidcup receive the kick off and instantly get on the front foot outside centre Dami opens the scoring running an excellent line after good hands through the backs 5 -26. The backs are now full of running and asking questions of the Colfes defence, another break sees Qwami benefit scoring in the near corner a really well worked team try there was superb support play and handling from the 2nd and back row keeping the move flowing 5- 31.
The next score was move of the match, the forwards turned over Colfs scrum, Hills picked from 8 and drove straight into Colfes stand off, 3 quick phases from the forwards sucked in the defence before Josh fed the backs on the 10, a well worked loop created acres of space for Callum to cross the line to make the score 5 -36. Again Colfes rallied and forced a mistake good handling saw them score the final points of the period 12 -36.

The 3rd period Sidcup were tasked with keeping a clean sheet, the whites are again on the front foot and bossing both possession and territory, the forwards turned over ruck ball on Colfs 22 scrum half Josh snips over the line Callum converts 12 -43. The next score Ben finds room in centres draws the full back and pops to supporting flanker Theo 48-12, the final score was a typical bullocking run from prop Jimmy Dole bashing through the defence and dragging 3 defenders over the line with him, Callum finished off the scoring converting from out wide 12 -55.
Everything considered a very good performance. There was not a boat race this week , but Coaches fines were still handed out:

Charlie for limp wrists (twice)
Joe for being made of porcelain/ egg shells, injured during a school football match.
Theo (while playing in the centres for the final third) embarrassed the forwards dropping the ball and waisting a clear try scoring opportunity.
Arby for a WWF style tackle (a harsh fine this one Arby was looking to clatter the poor kid and did, a great hit)
Dami fine for general laziness not using back row instinct dropping on loose ball.
