U10's Kent finals

By Sidcup Rugby
1.) semi final against our friends from Whitstable. Please note all photos are shown in the order they were taken. No creative editing here - it is as it was.
2.) it's only off side if the ref says so.....
3.) hello lads, nice to meet you again, how's the salad diet going.......
4.) Ethan getting up close & personal with the Whitstable boys
5.) This is competitive knockout rugby...no room for the faint hearted!
6.) Yeah, look chips are not one of your five a day.
7.) If you are not throwing someone else to the ground around here its a good chance someone is throwing you to the ground. You tell them Andy!
8.) half time and 1-0 to Sidcup but Whitstable have the advantage on size & power. Big 10 minutes to play.
9.) Just one of many full on confrontations - this one is Ethan bringing down one of their big lads
10.) getting a clean ball from the ruck needs grit and determination today
11.) There may, or may not, be a ball somewhere on the pitch at this point. Not sure if anyone is actually looking for it. Apologies for the expression but this is proper balls out rugby being played here by both sides!

13.) All for one and one for all - huge tackle by Keiran with Jonny & James making up the three musketeers this time - Whitstable have the power but Sidcup have the teamwork!
14.) Sidcup edging the line outs with James making good use of the 'slap down' ball.
15.) Sidcup 2-0 up and fair play to Whitstable they are throwing the kitchen sink, wrapped in a Whitstable shirt, at Sidcup

17.) Keiran making yet another punishing run into Whitstable territory. Admiring looks from the Blackheath coaches on the touchline

19.) 2-0 to Sidcup and what a game - not sure how either side is still standing at the end
20.) Sidcup were giving away a huge advantage in weight & power to Whitstable but teamwork and some sarf london grit got them through, somehow. Next up Tonbridge Judds B............blimey.
21.) Ton Judds B are looking a healthy size........is that one bigger than the ref?
22.) A stray U13 Ton Judds player appears to have wandered into the scrum.
23.) Kieran's not phased..........suppose he gets a lot of practice getting pummled by his older brother!
24.) Not much running rugby here - all grunt , groan and shoulders in.
25.) Lines out's bit more competitive this time with Ton Judd's playing the man a tadge more than Whitstable
26.) Team keeping shape & concentration well....primed to fly in as required.
27.) 20minutes against Whitstable and now another big physical examination. By the way Ref isn't that handling on the floor?
28.) Anyone, from either side, making a break into open space is getting nailed big time - Ethan on the receiving end this time.
29.) Sam (D) breaks the line but is running into Ton Judds traffic
30.) Sam (D) in there somewhere but held up painfully close to the line
31.) Support coming in thick & fast......
32.) Ref decides that we're getting a bit too close to the line and calls time on this attack
33.) would say that James is looking a bit dazed here. He had a great game although not sure how much he will be able to remember of it!

35.) The stray Ton Judds U13 player has still not found the right pitch - for scale that's Jonny next him in the line out.
36.) gerrofff! No one's intimidated here.
37.) Half time and Sidcup leading 1-0. Tight game of few chances - 30mins of full on rugby so far today - another big 10 mins left - not sure what's left in the tank for the Sidcup boys!
38.) Contentious try awarded to Ton Judds - kids must be dead on their feet - will their heads drop and let the game run away. Not this lot.
39.) Who wants it more now?
40.) Series of penalties within touching distance of line. Desparate tactics by Ton Judds.
41.) Was worried at half time about boys being able to keep going for last 10 minutes - two tough games, & fair few injuries as well, but last quarter of game is being played in Ton Judds half.
42.) No quitters here.....finishing strong! Play up Sidcup!
43.) Full time. 1-1. A draw's a draw but there were two try saving tackles by Judds in last couple of minutes - the one on Mitch was only able to be done because his achillies went.
44.) Some mixed feelings for the boys - disappointed on not getting outright win but not sure any of the parents/staff can believe that they went 20 mins with Ton Judds and were unlucky not to get at least a two try margin of victory.

69.) Hurray! Kieran - huge game - big chap with a big heart - had to go off against Ton Judds with injured knee but only once he got to the point where he couldn't stand on it!
