Ollie Moorhouse has been a member of SIdcup Rugby Club since 2012 and is currently a player in the Under 16 age group, he was the team captain of the U14s and U15s and also the captain at Hurtstmere School until he was diagnosed with having three brain tumours in August of last year.
Ollie was treated initially at the Royal Marsden and then underwent intensive treatment in Germany, in what can only be described as a very stressful time for the family, however Ollie has shown incredible fortitude in dealing with his illness and today has been given the all clear in his battle against Cancer, which is the best victory this season by a country mile.
John and Jane Moorhouse would like to pass on their heartfelt thanks to everyone at the club, who has supported the family in this incredibly difficult period, including everyone who attended and donated money and prizes at the charity game attended by hundreds in October v Hurstmere school and the Disco evening in November, which has raised thousands for the Royal Marsden and the charity Stand up to Cancer.
