The Colts section is the future of Sidcup RFC

The section has been streamlined for the 2008/09 season so that under 17s, 18s & 19s will train together but will play in separate competitions. This season we will compete in the English National Colts Cup & Plate competition as well as the Kent under 18s & 17s competitions.

The squad trains twice a week and is taken by highly qualified coaches as well as the occasional guest coach from outside of the club or from the senior section. We are looking to achieve very high standards on the pitch and this season hope to gain national recognition as well as success within the county. The squad already contains county standard players and we hope to provide even more players to the county set up this season.

The Colts squad is also a very social group who plan to play as hard off the pitch as on it; there will be several social events throughout the season and there will be an end of season tour. There will also be the opportunity for Colts to travel overseas with the Tag Rugby Development Trust and to complete their CLA coaching badge.

Colts players will be encouraged to get involved in senior rugby as soon as they are ready, with the opportunity to train with senior players on Tuesdays and Thursdays, to play in the senior sides on Saturday afternoons and to socialise with senior players on a Saturday night.
