THE FINES BOOK

The fines book exists for two reasons:

1. To enforce the attitudes and commitments expected of those involved in the 1st XV squad.
2. To provide some cash to contribute towards the running of the squad

The rules apply to all members of the 1st XV squad including players, coaches, physios and management.

The rules apply to those involved in the 1st XV squad on a given week i.e. to include the Tuesday and Thursday training sessions and the match day.

The rules and consequent fines are listed below;

1.You will train on Tuesdays.
Failure to do so will result in a 50p fine.

Note: So that no one feels unfairly treated there will simply be no excuses, not work, home, holiday, injury, illness, school, tsunami, train crash, or the missus.
You miss training, you pay.

2. You will train on Thursdays.
Failure to do so will result in a 50p fine.

3. If you’re injured and cannot train outside, you will train in the gym.
Failure to do so will result in a 50p fine.

Note: Paul will have the final decision on whether or not your injury allows you train in the gym.

4. You will be on time for the meet on Saturday mornings.
Failure to do so by 1 second, 1 minute, or 1 hour will result in a 50p fine.

Note: The fine master’s timekeeping is final.

5. You will wear No.1s after a game.
No.1s consist of smart shoes, socks, trousers, club shirt, club tie/cravat.
Blazers or 100% Lambs Wool jumpers are optional.
Failure to wear No.1s will result in a 50p fine per item.

Note: Blatant disregard of No.1s will result in an additional fine of £2.

Note: As the team respects the club after the game by wearing No.1s, the team will also be respectful of the club during the game. Therefore anyone (on the touchline) wearing kit that displays a logo of any club/team other than Sidcup will receive a fine of 50p per item.

6. The Club President will have the discretionary power to fine any player for any actions on the pitch which he feels are not befitting of a Sidcup RFC 1st team player.
The President will decide the fine, monetary or otherwise

7. You will travel on the coach where appropriate.
Failure to do will result in a 50p fine each way.

8. On match days you will be sociable and stay at the clubhouse until 7:00pm.
Failure to do so will result in a 50p fine.

9. You will not pull out of a game after Wednesday for any reason other than injury or illness.
This will result in a £3 fine.

10. Each week there will be a Captain’s Call.
This is a social call and will be nominated by that week’s fine-master.
Failure to do what is asked of you will result in an appropriate fine, depending on that week’s call/task.

11. The weekly fine-master can nominate any additional fines as they see fit.

Note: Everyone will take turns at being the fine master so you will get your opportunity for revenge if someone acts unfairly towards you.

ALL FINES ARE TO BE TAKEN IN GOOD GRACE OR THE FINE WILL BE INCREASED.

FAILURE TO PAY UP YOUR FINES WITHIN A SENSIBLE TIME PERIOD WILL RESULT IN INTEREST BEING ACCRUED AT THE RATE OF 100% PER WEEK.

EVERY PLAYER WILL EXCEPT THAT THE SELECTION COMMITTEE MAY FEEL THAT NOT PAYING FINES SHOULD BE INCLUDED AS A FACTOR IN TEAM SELECTION AND THEREFORE, NO PLAYER WILL COMPLAIN IF THIS IS THE REASON THAT THEY FAIL TO MAKE SELECTION.
